Crimson Night

2D Capstone Film — SCAD

Crimson Night is a 2D animated short film developed as a senior capstone project at SCAD, where Mahea Bingham served as Director. Though production was halted mid-development due to an institutional shift in capstone program requirements, the project yielded a rich body of concept and design work that stands on its own. The story follows a father who, after avenging his daughter’s death at the jaws of a wolf, succumbs to his own wounds and finds himself in limbo. Refusing to cross into the afterlife without her, he embarks on a search through the in-between world, guided by the spirit of his daughter’s mother. Together they must face the wolf once more — now a creature of shadow — before they can reach the door that waits beyond. This collection presents the character designs, environment concepts, and visual development work created during production.
